Are Monthly Email Newsletters Still Worth It?

Why Your Business NEEDS Social Media Templates Today!
13th October 2022Yes, yes, we know you don’t particularly want to read about the Covid-19 Pandemic for probably the 1000th time this year, but it turns out, it is STILL affecting trends 2 years after the dreaded disease made its debut. The pandemic gave rise to many technological trends like AI, video, and automation of sales – trends that are still around in 2022, and turns out, newer trends are on the rise (that actually have nothing to do with Covid-19!).
So, if you’re here looking for some fresh new sales ideas, you’ve come to the right place! Here are 6 of the biggest sales trends of 2022:
1.Live chats and conversations with customers
And we know what you might be thinking, I am constantly on calls or in meetings with my customers, and have been for the past 50 years! How is this a trend? We’ll tell you – LIVE CHATS AND CHAT BOTS! Have you ever scrolled through a website and noticed an annoying (but helpful) chat icon in the bottom right of your screen that lets you ‘Chat With Someone From The Team in Real Time’? That’s what we mean. Although the chat can at first be quite.. robotic.. usually a human will enter the chat if the AI can’t troubleshoot the issue you’re having.
Did you know that 52% of consumers are more likely to make another purchase if the company offers a live chat option? Better get chatting to your web developer!
2. The age of Artificial Intelligence
Remember those chat bots we spoke about in the previous point? Turns out, in 2022, AI has made the metric analysis job much easier, more accurate, and it won’t take up half your work week anymore! Artificial Intelligence is there to do the job for you. Sales forecasts formed hand in hand with AI powered software will certainly increase precision, speed up data collection, and let you know what the buying and selling trends of your company are looking like. Intelligent hey?
3. Pushing for your customers business success
While voicing to your customers that the service you provide will be beneficial, its also important to convince your customer that you genuinely want to see their business succeed! And don’t just say it, show it! Focus on providing an all-round positive customer experience ensuring your focus is not on customer satisfaction, but on customer SUCCESS. Customers are only becoming more demanding, so it’s important that your vision aligns with theirs to gain long-term loyalty.
4. Staying top of mind!
You read that right – instead of pushing your product/service into your customers face, step away from ‘obvious selling’ and move in the direction of ‘influencing’. Be unintrusive with your selling and rather plant the seed into your customers mind and continuously develop it. Be there for them, showcase your service/product online, and show up on their feed. Then when your customer is looking for a business that provides your kind of service/product: BAM! You’re the first company that comes to mind!
5. Video, you say
Well, Tik Tok doesn’t have 30.19 million monthly active users for nothing. Humans are visual beings and we love a good serotonin boost from a video of some happy dogs. So why not take advantage of this, and use visuals to communicate the valuable services/products you offer? While you’re at it, throw some humor in – everyone loves a good laugh. In fact, a subject line that has the word ‘video’ in it, is 8 times more likely to be opened by a user. What more is there to say other than – You better be pulling out a video recording device as we speak!
6. Webinars and Podcasts
The Covid-19 lockdown is to blame for this one! This format of communication is becoming more and more popular by the week, and who doesn’t want to sit in the comfort of their own home while attending a conference? A single online event can generate over 500 leads, and there’s no need to worry about renting a room big enough for the event. This form of communication also reduces travel and equipment costs, while still providing valuable information to the attendees. Hop on this trend while it’s still hot!
Buckle up, because the ‘times are a changin’, and it’s up to you whether you want to apply these trends to your company. But think about this – these trends are ‘trends’ for a reason, and if you are still implementing trends from a few years ago, you might want to reevaluate and keep up with the fast-paced technological age that we are in!
